DFC Technologies represents a group of industry standard specifications for optimal transport of ADC amd Etherent through SONET/SDH and utilizes SONET technology throughout their network. Recent demands of high speed data transmission services have taken a root in a communication mechanism. This has been accompanied by a growth in fiber-optic communication networks. DFC (Digital Fiber Communication) module fulfills the requirement of high speed data transmission services. It converts analog high speed signal coming from radar into digital data to be transmitted by fiber-optics. This module system provides the solution for the high speed data transmission from MHz to over 100 GHz.
The unique thing about this device is that it doesn’t use coaxial cables. Whereas currently, telecommunication industry developers uses many coaxial cables to meet the requirements but with that there is sometime electromagnetic interference between these coaxial cables, which can cause many problems with the radar. Fiber-optics has much high performance, lighter little volume, and lower bit error rate. AC power lines, RF, arching high voltages and even lightning strikes will not compromise the signal in any way. The DFC module takes the RF signal and converts into digital format to be transmitted by fiber-optics rather than coaxial cable.
The worldwide markets for fiber-optics devices are in Millions of dollars and rapidly growing every year. Due to which new applications continue to emerge in which fiber technology can be employed. Fiber-optic technology has many benefits that include high speed data transmission from any ultra-high source. These sources include long transmission distance, high frequency operation and EMI systems. The increase demand on aero communication can make the use of RF over fiber in demand. To make RF over fiber-optic distribution competitive with other transmission technologies, I am currently developing a new type of high data transmission technology call DFC1500 module that can significantly increase the data transmission in GHz.  The advantages of using this technology are smaller size of interconnect flexibility of the fiber, lighter weight and data stability with extreme temperatures.
